Man in the High Castle by Phillip K Dick, author of Blade Runner. This book was written about an alternative history where Germany and Japan had won WWII. North America is divided. Germans run the east coast and the Japanese run the west coast. In this story everyone uses the I Ching. The author used the I Ching Hexagram Inner Truth as the basis for the book. Each chapter was a different line of the Hexagram. Each person has a relationship to inner truth. The characters in the book throw the I Ching, and Phillip Dick also threw the I Ching to develop the story.
This book won the Science Fiction award for 1976 and there is also a tv series based on it.
